Motel 6 Anaheim, CA - Maingate

It's close to Disneyland but still a 18min walk. "Main gate" is a little misleading. The hotel was clean and the staff is very nice. It's the best motel 6 I've seen. It was a last minute booking and we'll worth the price. They charge daily for parking. They have a little convince store on property. It has drinks and snacks and a few souvenirs. You pay extra for items but very convenient. All in all we were very pleased with our stay.

We arrived early and hoped they would be able to store our bags while we walked around, but we were happily surprised with an early check in! The staff is super friendly and the room was clean. It was so nice to start our vacation off on such an easy and friendly note!!

Despite being next to the freeway, we found the room to be incredibly quiet. The room was just the right temperature (cold outside since it was February and had been raining)...within walking distance to Disneyland, and not even a far walk in my opinion. Walk back and forth felt safe, hotel felt safe. The staff at the front desk were friendly and nice. Answered a few questions we had. They have a lot of drink/food choices in the little mini mart self-service deal in the lobby. Will stay there again when I go back.

I had my room for 2 night stay right here. The place is real clean, the rim was very spacious. It's real good for having a pet with you because they didn't bother you or have housekeeping go to your room or knock on your door when you have a pet with you. Last was this place is real quiet, so you could either relax without any noise or been bothered at all...

This hotel is our GO TO Hotel for our many many visits to Disneyland! We are from AZ and visit 12-15 times per year and we love this hotel! The hotel staff actually know my name and they are pure gems! They make this hotel a home away from home and I can not thank them enough for always going above and beyond to make any issue right! Even though there have been very few issues, they have always been able to make it right and more. The property is clean and the rooms are clean! Be beds are a little hard so we bring two inch foam pillow top mattresses with us to help the mattress comfort, but other than that it’s clean! I have always felt safe and the pool is a great refreshing spot to relax and especially the hot tub! The hotel offers cold refrigerators in the rooms, to stor food and drinks if needed. The rooms are later and the bathrooms have sliding doors to separate the room from the bathroom. Lots of storage space as well! The hotel also has a convenient grab pay and go shop for any and all necessities. It takes 8 minutes to walk from the hotel to the gate of disneyland so a very easy walk! It’s literally right off disney way and the i5! So super easy to get to by car! We over maingate and will alway be there for any and all of our disneyland trips!

A great room for a great price! Booked a two night stay at Motel 6 Anaheim - Maingate because of the proximity to Disneyland (it’s just a walk away or a quick shuttle ride over) and we couldn’t be happier. The location is super convenient to both the park and the interstate, and in a safe and clean area. Staff were very helpful, professional and friendly, and our room was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable stay!

We were pleasantly surprised, Motel 6 has come a long way. Bathroom was nice, beds were comfy. The stairs to our room were a little worrying as they cracked under as we went upstairs, it qas likely due to age and the heavy rains the day before. Felt safe. Great distance to House of Blues. Disney not too far of a walk either. Location is meh for easy food locations but plenty with an extra few mins of driving. Would stay here again! As for reviews complaining about the parking fee, it was absolutely stated on the policies when I first made my reservations and email reminders. I do believe it needs to be highlighted me, but I was aware before going to the property. If you are a light sleeper (I am not), you may to avoid due to cheer and band kids staying for their events/trips.

My family’s vacation could have started as a horrible experience, but Motel 6 completely turned it around and made it feel magical. We originally checked into Quality Inn & Suites in Anaheim after being told ahead of time that my emotional support animal would be fine as long as the cat “doesn’t bark.” I was completely transparent about needing this accommodation before checking in. Unfortunately, once we arrived, the experience turned into something very upsetting. The front desk employee began belittling me and raising her voice in front of other guests and my children. We were told we had to leave the property with the cat at all times and that we would be charged a $300 cleaning fee. My daughter even tried to defend me because she could see how targeted and uncomfortable the situation had become regarding our disabilities. Other guests nearby even told me they felt sorry for what we were experiencing and hoped the trip would turn around. Thankfully, Expedia advocated for us, my bank supported us, and I had travel insurance in case of issues. Still, it meant we suddenly had to leave by 9:30 in the morning and scramble to find another hotel while trying not to miss plans we had already booked. That’s when we found Motel 6 on Expedia while searching specifically for pet-friendly hotels so we wouldn’t face discrimination again. I never thought I’d say this, but Motel 6 ended up being a miracle for our family. The property was cleaner, prettier, and more welcoming than we expected — and even more affordable than the place that had treated us so poorly. But the real difference was the customer service. The front desk staff treated us with kindness and respect from the moment we arrived. She even allowed us to check in early so our car could be in fresh AC and so we wouldn’t miss our scheduled lightsaber workshop at Disneyland. What started as a stressful and heartbreaking situation turned into a memorable moment for our family thanks to Motel 6. They didn’t just give us a room — they gave us relief, kindness, and the chance to enjoy our vacation again. Thank you Motel 6. You turned a bad start into a magical day for my family. Honestly, you should be called Superheroes 6.
